Ironing & Pressing Crisp, wrinkle-free clothes ready to wear, with careful ironing and pressing services. Our lead presser shares the routine behind a perfect crease.
A sharp crease is not about heat alone. We start with the right moisture, sort shirts by fabric weight, and press collars and cuffs first so they set flat before the body of the shirt ever touches the board.
At Foldly every pressed shirt is finished by hand, steamed to relax the fibres, then pressed once — never scorched back and forth. That single pass is why collars stay crisp through a full workday instead of curling by lunch.
“Press once, with purpose. Repeated passes shine the fabric and weaken the seam.”
At home, match the heat to the label, press inside-out for dark fabrics, and hang each piece for five minutes before it goes in the closet. The cooldown is what locks the crease in.
Foldly pressing checklist
Low heat for synthetics, medium for cotton, steam for linen. Empty the iron tank after each session so minerals never spot your whites.
